Sometimes you may need to disable AdBlock on Google Chrome to see ads on websites or to fix issues with certain pages not loading properly. Whether you want to turn off Chrome’s built-in ad blocker or a third-party ad-blocking extension like AdBlock or uBlock Origin, the process is easy and quick. In this blog, you will learn simple step-by-step instructions to disable AdBlock on Google Chrome and allow ads while browsing.

Disable AdBlock on Google Chrome

🔧 Method 1: Disable the AdBlock Extension in Chrome

Step 1: Open Google Chrome

Make sure you are using the Chrome browser.

Step 2: Click on the Three Dots (Menu)

Located at the top-right corner of Chrome.

Step 3: Go to “Extensions”

  • Click on More tools
  • Select Extensions

Step 4: Find the AdBlock Extension

You may see:

  • AdBlock
  • Adblock Plus
  • uBlock Origin
  • Any other ad-blocking extension

Step 5: Disable the Extension

Toggle the blue switch to turn it OFF.

📌 This disables AdBlock completely in Chrome.

🔧 Method 2: Disable AdBlock Only for a Specific Website

If you don’t want to disable AdBlock completely, you can pause it for only one website.

Step 1: Open the Website You Want to Allow Ads On

Example: News websites, streaming sites, etc.

Step 2: Click the AdBlock Icon

Found in the Chrome toolbar (top-right).

Step 3: Select “Pause on this site” or “Don’t run on pages of this site”

This will immediately reload the page with ads enabled.

✨ Use this method to allow ads only on trusted sites.

🔧 Method 3: Disable Chrome’s Built-in Ad Filtering

Chrome has a built-in option that blocks intrusive ads.

Step 1: Open Settings

Go to:

chrome://settings

Step 2: Click on “Privacy and Security”

Step 3: Go to “Site Settings” → “Additional Content Settings”

Step 4: Choose “Ads”

Step 5: Allow Sites to Show Ads

Select:
✔️ All sites can show ads

This removes Chrome’s automatic ad restrictions.

🔧 Method 4: Disable Tracking Protection (If Required)

Some websites block access if tracking protection is enabled.

Step 1: Open Chrome Settings

Step 2: Go to “Privacy and Security”

Step 3: Select “Cookies and other site data”

Step 4: Choose “Allow all cookies”

This helps websites load ads properly.
