✅ 1. Check Server Status & Do a Full Restart
- Sometimes the issue isn’t your PC—it’s the game servers. Head over to the official Activision/Warzone status page to see if there’s an outage.
- Quit the game completely (including the launcher).
- Restart your PC and reboot your router or modem to refresh your internet connection.
- Launch the game again and see if it connects.
✅ 2. Clear Temporary Game Data & Cache
- Deleting temporary files can fix issues caused by outdated or corrupted data.
- Press Windows + R, type
%temp%, press Enter. - Select all files and delete them.
- Empty the Recycle Bin.
- For Battle.net: in the launcher select the game, click Options → Scan and Repair or equivalent.
- For Steam: Right-click the game → Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files.
✅ 3. Update Network Drivers & Flush DNS
- An outdated network adapter driver can interfere with connecting to online services.
- Open Device Manager → Network adapters → Right-click your adapter → Update driver.
- Press Windows + X → Windows Terminal (Admin) and run the following commands:
ipconfig /flushdns ipconfig /registerdns ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew netsh winsock resetThis helps renew your network settings and can fix connection loops. - After executing, restart your PC and test the game.
✅ 4. Change DNS Server Settings
Some default ISP DNS servers may have issues communicating with game servers.
How to change DNS:
- Open Settings → Network & Internet → Advanced network settings → More network adapter options.
- Right-click your active connection → Properties → Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) → Properties.
- Choose Use the following DNS server addresses and enter:
- Preferred: 8.8.8.8
- Alternate: 8.8.4.4
- Click OK and restart your PC.
This change has helped many players fix the “Connecting to Online Services” loop.
✅ 5. Switch to Wired Connection or Another Region
- If you’re on Wi-Fi, try connecting via Ethernet cable. A more stable connection can often fix the loop.
- Some players found changing their game server region (if allowed by launcher) helped when regional servers were causing the problem.
✅ 6. Reinstall the Game / Remove and Re-Add Packs
If basic fixes don’t work, reinstalling may help fix deep data corruption or missing files.
- Uninstall the game completely.
- Clear leftover folders in
Program Files/Program Files (x86)/Documents. - Download fresh from the launcher/Steam.
- On Battle.net especially make sure you have all “Multiplayer Packs” selected for installation.
While it’s time-consuming, this often resolves persistent loops.
