If you accidentally deleted your WhatsApp chats and don’t have a backup, don’t worry! There are new tricks in 2026 that can help you recover deleted WhatsApp messages without needing a backup. Whether you use Android or iPhone, special recovery tools and simple steps can scan your device and bring back those lost chats quickly. In this blog, you’ll learn easy and effective ways to restore your deleted WhatsApp chats without backup, so you can get back your important conversations fast.

First, open your File Manager, then go to Internal Storage.
Now, tap on the three dots at the top and select Show Hidden Files.
After that, open the Android folder, then media, and then com.whatsapp.
Open the WhatsApp folder.
Then go to Databases.

Here, hold any file for a few seconds. Tap on More Options and select Rename.
Type a new name and tap OK.
Sometimes renaming this folder can help you recover deleted messages, but it’s not guaranteed.

Method 2: Copy & Paste the Database File
Now, let’s move to the second method.
Go to My Files again and open the Database folder.
Select the data, tap on More, and then Copy.
After that, go to the Backup folder and Paste it there.
This can sometimes help restore chats, but again, it’s not 100% certain.

Method 3: Google Drive Backup Reset
Now, the third and final method.
Open Google Drive and tap on the three-line menu at the top left.
Now tap on Backups, and beside WhatsApp Backup, tap the three dots and choose Delete Backup.

After that, uninstall your WhatsApp.
Reinstall it again.
And during setup, it might ask you to restore your previous chats.
You can try this option, but note that WhatsApp currently doesn’t have a complete chat recovery system.
